SUMMER THEATER FAQ
Q) What time is camp?
A) Camp starts at 8:00am and ends at 4:15pm, Monday through Friday.
Q) Is there before/after care available?
A) After care is available Monday through Friday after camp from 4:30pm to 6:00pm.
Q) What should my child bring to camp?
A) We recommend that each camper brings water, snacks, lunch or money for pizza, sunscreen, their script and a few pencils daily.
Q) What should my child wear to camp?
A) Dress is casual. No flip flops allowed. Restrictive clothing is discouraged as it inhibits movement and makes certain activities difficult. We recommend that campers with long hair bring hair-ties or hairbands to keep their hair out of their eyes.
Q) What does my child need to do at auditions?
A) Campers should prepare 16-32 bars (30-45 seconds) of a musical theatre or pop song to be sung a Cappella. Campers may be asked to read from a script as a cold read. Campers should also dress in clothing they can comfortably move or dance in.
Q) Does my child need any prior experience?
A) We have campers of all experience levels, those who are brand new to performing, and campers who have been with us for many seasons. We see new performers transform before our eyes in just two weeks! No matter your child's experience level, they will love Summer Camp at Allegra!
Q) What is "Fun Friday"?
A) On the first Friday of each camp session we celebrate the end of our first week together with a day filled with water balloons, ice cream, and a talent show! Campers are encouraged to bring a friend to camp on this day to share in the fun!
Q) When is the show?
A) Our performances take place on the final Friday of the session (with the exception of Teen Premiere, which has additional shows on Saturday).
Q) How can I buy tickets?
A) Tickets are available for purchase online for $10 or at the door for $13.
